What kind of sling do I own?
What kind of sling do I own?
Before buying this course specialized in teaching the use of the stretchy wrap, you might wonder IF you are owning a stretchy wrap or maybe something different.
In this short chapter you will learn about the different wraps out there and what kind of options are available.
The Stretchy Wrap

Most of the brands sell wraps that are approx. 5m long (5.5 yd) and 50cm wide (1.6 ft).
Some have sewed on pockets in which you can also store the wrap. But you will never find buckles, rings, or similar on it.
The stretchy wrap is, like the name says, more or less stretchy. It is made of knitted jersey fabric and stretchy in all directions. Sometimes in one direction more than in the other.
This course is all around the stretchy wrap. You will find more information and details inside the course.

The Woven Wrap
It looks similar to the stretchy wrap. The woven wrap also is a long piece of fabric but different to the stretchy wrap, it is not knitted but woven.
It is also not stretchy in all directions but only diagonally.

The Ringsling
The Ringsling at first seems like a long piece of fabric too, but it has two rings sewn onto one end. A ringsling is usually made of the same fabric as a woven wrap.

Stretchy options
Sometimes you find slings made of stretchy materials like two loops or a fixed panel on your back with loops in the front. These are no stretchy wraps but often sized, easy options. They aren’t as versatile as stretchy wraps and the sizes bring some problems on their own.
